The Residents' Association

The Role of the Wootton St Lawrence Residents' Association

The Residents' Association aims to increase the sense of belonging to an active community for people living in the local area by:

  • Putting on social events and recreational activities to encourage more members of the community to get to know each other.

  • Publicising what is happening in the local community to encourage support.

  • Researching general opinions of local residents and where necessary help to pass on ideas or concerns of residents to local council, parish council, developers or other appropriate organisations.

  • Fund raising to improve facilities within the village, support local church restoration, chosen charities and cover the expenses of the association.  Recipients of funds raised to be agreed prior to events by committee.

  • Serena Worthington.
