Update on the Neighbourhood Plan - 3rd October 2019

 

The Wootton St Lawrence Neighbourhood Plan Final Documents have been passed by the Parish Council and have been submitted to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

 

Notification of Publicity of the Wootton St Lawrence Neighbourhood Plan

(Regulation 16)

 

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is now in receipt of the final submission version of the Wootton St Lawrence Neighbourhood Plan (NP) along with all accompanying documentation required under the Regulations. The Wootton St Lawrence NP sets out a vision for the neighbourhood area and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally and guide development in the neighbourhood area up until 2029. The Submission Wootton St Lawrence NP will be subject to formal public consultation from Wednesday 12th June 2019 to 4pm on Wednesday 31st July 2019.  You are being consulted as you have been identified as a consultation body or consultee identified in the Wootton St Lawrence Neighbourhood Plan Consultation Statement, or have previously been engaged with the Plan.

 

What does the Wootton St Lawrence Neighbourhood Plan consist of and where can it be viewed?

 

The Submission Wootton St Lawrence NP consists of the following:

 

•Proposed Wootton St Lawrence NP

•Consultation Statement

•Basic Conditions Statement

•Strategic Environmental Assessment decision notice

 

The Plan is also supported by a separate evidence-base document to explain the Local Gap policy.

 

From Wednesday 12th June, these documents, along with a guidance note, can be viewed on the council’s website at www.basingstoke.gov.uk/WSLNP, or will be available for public inspection at:

 

•Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council Offices (8:30am to 5:00pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and 8:30am to 4.30pm on Fridays);

•Basingstoke Discovery Centre (8:30am to 6:30pm on Mondays to Fridays, and 8:30am -4:30pm on Saturdays);

•The porch of St Lawrence Church in Wootton St Lawrence ( during daylight hours); and

•The porch of All Saints’ Church in Ramsdell (also during daylight hours).

 

How can you make your representations?

 

Representations in relation to the Wootton St Lawrence NP and supporting documents should be submitted to the borough council using one of the following methods:

return representation form or submit written comments by post to: Planning Policy Team, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke RG21 4AH

return representation form or submit written comments by email to: local.plan@basingstoke.gov.uk

 

Only those representations that are made in writing and that are received by the council within the consultation period (ending at 4pm on 31st July 2019) will be considered. All responses will then be forwarded to the plan’s examiner once he/she is appointed.

 

When making your representation, please can you indicate whether you wish to be participate in an Examination Public Hearing (should the examiner decide there is a need for one) and also whether you wish to be notified about the Examiner’s Report and the ‘Made’ Wootton St Lawrence NP.
